We collect milk from our farmers three times a day in the convenience of our farmers. We collect in Nyanduma and Kamburu Wards.
Provision of Feeds
We are in partnership with various Agrovets and Feeds shop in both wards where our farmers access feeds and medicines.
Hear From The Managing Director
The events of 14/10/2021 which led to the inception of Kagwe Concept Dairies are still fresh in my mind, started with a call at around 1100hrs from Mr Zachariah Momanyi – Zonal Manager Brookside Dairy who was in the company of Mr James Ng’ang’a –Theta Dairy Chairman and one of my former transporter at Gatamaiyu DFCSL. We agreed to meet same day at Kagwe – Concept Shop, we discussed more regarding milk collection and marketing to Brookside Dairy and resolved collection start from 01/11/2021 and have another on 26/10/2021 to further preparation.
The marketing of Concept Dairies kicked in via Social media adverts, churches within Nyanduma and Kamburu wards, youths going home to home and Gikaki Sacco. After the meeting of 26/10/2021 which was also attended by Brookside Dairy Regional Manager Mr Kennedy Musakali the farmers registration started and our 1st day in operation was encouraging since we managed 125 suppliers who supplied us with 886.8Kgs. As our slogan says “Empowering Smallholder Dairy Farmers” we have been able to facilitate the empowerment and it is through it that our journey has been a smooth one culminating to a supplier base of 2633 with 1330 being active and with a daily average intake of 13,500Kgs by 31/08/2024 and look forward to the day that the active suppliers will maintain at 70% of the registered suppliers. We are grateful for the Brookside Dairy – Kagwe Concept business relationship and commit to maintain a cemented one. Our gratitude also goes to Equity Bank for farmer trainings, Staff and transporters for their dedication in their line of work. Kagwe Concept also appreciates the partnerships with Family Bank Kagwe, Tai Sacco, K-Unity Sacco, Fariji Sacco, GDC Sacco and Cooperative Bank Githunguri who all ensure timely release of suppliers milk payment.
